Volunteer Miramichi is the voice of Volunteer Activities in the Greater Miramichi area. Through our leadership and proactive approach we promote, facilitate and co-ordinate volunteer-related activities.

Volunteer Miramichi Inc. is a non-profit agency and provides the following service to the community:
Volunteer Recruitment, Referral and Promotion
Recruitment – recruitment of volunteers from all walks of life through the use of the media, our website, newspaper articles. Volunteers are then referred, depending on their interests, time available etc., to various volunteer agencies throughout our community.
Promotion of Volunteerism
Volunteerism is promoted in the community through use of the media, presentations to groups, workshops, National Volunteer Week and volunteer recognition events.
Some potential volunteer opportunities on the Miramichi are:
• Preparing basic income tax returns
• Visiting Seniors
• Office work • Classroom mentors
• Hospital volunteers
• Delivering meals
• Distributing groceries • Driving
• First aid/search and rescue
• Board membership
Be realistic about how much time you can give.
Give your volunteer work a fair trial but if after several times you find it is not for you try something else!!!
